  6. Hello, Deb. A cancer mom who's mourning her own little angel sent me the link to your site a couple of weeks ago. After looking at all your breathtaking photos and reading your words, I have poured over the posts on Max's cancer site and left a comment for his family. Reading this post today, I'm terribly saddened by the news that Max passed, and seeing these sweet videos makes my heart ache for their family. There's no doubt in my mind that Max is free and healthy and more alive now than we could ever imagine, but that doesn't take away the pain his loved ones feel or remove the fact that they want him back desperately. Thank you for showing the world what a true hero is.

  9. Deb-

My son is also battling neuroblastoma and please know how much your photos mean to all families in this situation. For other people to have increased understanding or a glimpse into our world is a gift in itself. I and all the other families like Max's thank you very much. I think your purpose was to help spread awareness of the horrors of childhood cancer and Max and Sam came into your life for that reason. You have a great gift for nor only photography but for words and many many families appreciate your beautiful tribute to this family.

  11. I was at the tennis court when my young friend Luke came up to me and simply said, "Max died." My heart dropped.
Luke and I talked about Max and how special a person he is.
From the moment I met Max on Father's Day this year, I was a big fan of his.
I will miss him and the great way he had about him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. God Bless You all and I am so, so sorry for your loss.
